SANFORD BIGGERS: ART SUNDAE
Children’s Art-Making Workshop & Public Installation
Please join us for a special Art Sundae art-making workshop on Wednesday, June 23rd at 4:00 pm with artist Sanford Biggers. Children’s Museum of the East End 376 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton, NY 11932

The workshop will be held in person at The Children’s Museum of the East End and digitally streamed live via Rockefeller Center’s Instagram channel (@rockefellercenter). Children will be guided by Sanford Biggers to collage a quilt square, inspired by Bigger’s public exhibition now on view at Rockefeller Center.
For those participating at home gather your materials and tune in on Wednesday, June 23rd at 4:00 pm to the Rockefeller Center Instagram channel (@rockefellercenter)
Materials:
- Printed Collage Template (downloadable via "Download PDF" link at the bottom of this page)
- Any adhesive (clear tape, glue stick, Elmer's glue, etc.)
- Your favorite collaging materials (old magazines, newspapers, photos, origami paper, etc.)
- Scissors
- Your favorite painting or drawing medium (watercolor, acrylic, marker, crayon, graphite, charcoal, etc)
Instructions
- Please fill in the outlined shape using any combination of images, colors, patterns or collage that have special meaning to you to create your own quilt square.
- Please try not to leave any areas uncovered.
Following the workshop, children are invited to submit their collages to be included in a public art installation by Sanford Biggers at 10 Rockefeller Plaza. Submissions should be sent by June 28th via email or DM to staff@artproductionfund.org / @artproducutionfund.
The public installation will be on view from July 2nd at the exterior ground floor window at 10 Rockefeller Plaza

ART SUNDAE is an ongoing public program launched by non-profit Art Production Fund and New York gallery Fort Gansevoort that is designed to build confidence in children through art-making. This free program offers children the opportunity to work with a contemporary artist to create a public art project.
