Laurel Nakadate was born in Austin, Texas in 1975 and raised in Ames, Iowa. She received a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University in 1998. Since completing her MFA at Yale University in 2001, she has participated in solo and group exhibitions in major museums and galleries worldwide.
Works by Laurel Nakadate are in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT; Princeton University Art Museum and other distinguished institutions and private individuls.
