Presented in partnership with Tishman Speyer at Rockefeller Center
Press Release
Art Production Fund & Fort Gansevoort are pleased to present the sixth iteration of Art Sundae in partnership with Rockefeller Center. On Wednesday, August 21st, from 3 - 5pm, NYC Children are invited to participate in an ART SUNDAE workshop featuring an interactive project with Art in Focus artist LaKela Brown for an upcoming public art installation.
Participants will explore a process used by artist LaKela Brown through the activity of making a small relief. Stamps and beads will be provided to press into the surface of air-dry clay to create a dimensional composition of shapes and textures. The resulting impressions can be embellished with golden metallic paint. Art from the workshop will be made into a public art installation on view at the the Ticket Booth in the Rockefeller Center concourse
ART SUNDAE is a public program created by the non-profit Art Production Fund and gallery Fort Gansevoort that is designed to build confidence in children through art making. The free program offers children the opportunity to work with a contemporary artist to create public art projects.
